In addition to the Project Butterfly, HiDef & I&I area, Bloomfest will have a main stage with KCRW djs, live bands, vendors, art, food trucks, beer garden and much more. The scope of this event will be in the vein of an outdoor summer street party vibe, filled with the diversity of peoples, flavors, sounds and styles that makes this city so unique and so fresh.
Many thanks to Melissa Richardson Banks of CauseConnect, Edgar Varela of Edgar Varela Fine Arts, and LARABA [Los Angeles River Artists and Business Association] for spearheading Bloomfest LA. Bloomfest is named in honor of Joel Bloom, a personal friend and community galvanizer, who passed in 2007. Joel Bloom was instrumental in the naming of the Arts District and in building the Arts District community. His vision and work continues to Bloom!
